A New House Guest has Arrived

Barney (Bucky) the Banana Beagle moved into the McGregor Palace recently as his mum and dad have moved to England for a couple of years.

Barney still keeps up with Matthew (his dad) by reading his blog (battereddonkey.com) and talking to him on the phone (over Skype of course!)
He settled in really well with only a few minor adjustments.

Angus and Doughal like having a new playmate
especially Angus! who loves to tease with toys!
Bedtime is very interesting with one more lump to send outside for a pee and a third beagle wanting a reward for being a good beagle during the day.

Our Angus!

Brialey Land Down Under, is more commonly known as Angus. He was one year old on 25th January 2007. As his birthday was the day before Australia Day the whole litter were named in keeping of our national day. Angus pictured in his favourite position, asleep on the top of the couch, is far from being a lazy dog. He plays hard for long periods of time and then flops!

The house has been lively since he came to live with us. We got him as a companion to Doughal, who after a bit of initial jealous behaviour, loves him like a brother.

Angus does like to act like a typical little brother, he bosses his big brother around, keeps him awake barking 2 inches from his ear , trying to get him to play when D is tired, pinches his bones and toys and all sorts of other mischievous behaviour.

Angus, despite being a bit demanding, has a wonderful temperament, which makes him a fabulous companion.

Barney and Doughal

Barney and Doughal are beagles.
Barney belongs to our son Matthew and our daughter in law Nicole, and Doughal (foreground) our first beagle is his brother from the same litter.
They will be 3 on the 15th Oct 2007. When they were puppies, they used to fight all the time. they have a couple of scars to show for it even now. It's amazing how a bit of maturity and time can help. They are very close friends now, there is never a growl between them, although they still play like they are little puppies when they get together!
